Event Synopsis
Historically, IT leaders standard approach to sourcing has been to work within rigid documented processes that can then be carried out at lower cost with greater efficiency. However, we are now seeing these well-known practices failing in many situations, as staff turnover in sourcing companies is on the increase and the efforts in governance for clients to obtain successful outcomes have become disproportionately high.
John Harris, a veteran CTO with a track record in digital innovation will lead an interactive thought leadership event, where he brings to life the myths and realities of traditional sourcing and identifies the impact covid-19 has had on improving remote working techniques in relation to sourcing. In this discussion John will be considering if ‘the new way of working’ has now supported the acceleration opportunity for remote teams in near shore locations and the potential impact this will have on organisations.
Joining this discussion is Chris Witheridge, former CIO of UBM and now CTO of start-up SmartXpo and Chris Carde, a Silicon Valley veteran who led delivery of one of the Google Android auto platform and is now leading innovative home tech solutions for Eon).
