Event Synopsis

Before implementing and scaling agile, you need to identify whether it is the right fit for your organisation future vision and strategy and the impact of these changes on key stakeholders such as customers and your team because this is what will determine the outcome of your efforts.

Some would argue that outside of the Technology Start-ups and Silicon Valley arena, it can be difficult to imagine how Agile can work for larger, complex organisations. However, it has been proven that aligning any organisation to a common language and way of working can far outweigh the challenges of implementing and embedding Agile.

Join highly experiences and enthusiast Agile Specialists who will lead an experiential workshop designed to convince on the above notion and address three key elements to successfully scaling and implementing agile in large enterprises: 1. Process 2. Tools 3. Discipline.

You will explore and test principles from different Agile methodologies suitable for any organisation of any size, along with different techniques you can introduce to your team to implement Agile practices to encourage a shift towards ‘being’ Agile.

This session aims for you to:

  • Understand how mindset and culture can be instrumental to transformation success.

  • Gain tips about how to install Agile into your business culture

  • Learn how not to be held up by challenges such as external dependencies, poor strategy fit, and different versions of the same concept.

Speakers

Erin Davies

Agile Delivery Manager, Automation Logic

Summary

Erin is an Agile Delivery Manager at Automation Logic, and a freelance Speaker and Trainer in her spare time. Her career has seen her go from law graduate, to the John Lewis IT scheme, to consulting with PA Consulting to Fintechs startups, and back round again. Despite considering herself to be "non techie", Erin found herself in a world of infrastructure, APIs and firewalls. There she found her niche in organisational culture, and has often been branded the early adopter of new ideas and techniques. Outside of work, she mentors girls and women on confidence and coaches public speaking.

Sergio Gove

Agile Software Delivery Expert

Summary

An expert in Agile software delivery, Sergio has over ten years’ experience setting up and running highly successful delivery programmes of various sizes. He has delivered success stories for a variety of clients across various sectors including banking, fintech, gaming, telecoms, and central government. When he’s not talking about software delivery, Sergio is either watching AC Milan or babysitting his very new baby (although his wife insists this is called parenting, not babysitting!).
